About Asociația Break4Kids

We are building more than a dance school. We are building a community around Breaking in Romania.

Who we are

Asociația Break4Kids is an independent NGO in Bucharest that develops educational and community projects through Breaking and hip-hop culture.

Our mission is to give children, teenagers and adults an environment where they can learn, express themselves artistically and grow through movement, discipline and teamwork.

  • Classes for every age and level.
  • Activities in Romanian, English and Ukrainian.
  • Workshops, camps, battles and competitive experiences.
  • A community built on respect, character, perseverance and personal growth.

Cool A

Founder and Head Coach

Andrei “Cool A” discovered Breaking at 15 in Bacău and has danced for over 20 years. He spent about 15 years in Coventry, UK, where he was part of the MDK crew, competed almost every weekend and co-founded an NGO that organised around 50 competitions.

He returned to Romania to grow the local scene. His first project was BHumble, the Eastern European Freestyle Session qualifier, with participants from 18 countries. He has experience in fundraising, project coordination, production and community partnerships. Space Cadets grew out of a collaboration with a local NGO. BHumble’s 500 tickets sold out in a single day.

Charity drives

We collected clean clothes, shoes and toys in good condition for children aged 1 to 17, destined for a children’s home. The drive ran at Space Cadets until 16 August.

Collaborations and partners

In our work and events we have collaborated with, or been supported by, brands, organisations and artists who back Breaking culture.

Magazinul cu Șepci is a Bucharest brand that sells caps and does embroidery and printing on clothes and caps. Macanache is a very popular Romanian rapper who supports the hip-hop community.

Red Bull on Cool A

On 30 January 2026, Red Bull Romania published “Meet Cool A, the b-boy growing the local breaking community” (Romanian): the path from Bacău and Coventry to Space Cadets, a Breaking-only space in Bucharest’s Sector 5.
