Frequently asked questions about Breaking classes
What is Breaking?
Breaking is a street dance born in hip-hop culture. It is built on toprock, footwork, freezes and power moves, set to music and improvisation.
Can I start if I have never danced?
Yes. The Beginners groups are designed for first steps, and the first class is free.
What age can you start Breaking?
Kids classes are for children aged 6 and over, and Legacy classes for ages 16 and up. Open Sessions are free training with the community.
What is the difference between Beginners and Intermediate?
Beginners is for people just starting out or strengthening their foundations. Intermediate is for dancers who already have a base and are ready to take Breaking further.
What languages are classes taught in?
Romanian, English and Ukrainian.
When is the space open and how do I claim the free class?
Space Cadets is open Monday to Friday, 17:00 to 21:00, at Str. Spătaru Preda 12, Sector 5, Bucharest. Message us on WhatsApp at +40 758 484 381 or use the contact form.
What memberships and prices are there?
One session costs 60 RON, 4 sessions 220 RON, 8 sessions 400 RON, Advanced (12 sessions) 540 RON, Pro (16 sessions) 680 RON and Elite (unlimited access) 1000 RON.
How are Break4Kids and Space Cadets connected?
Asociația Break4Kids is the independent, non-governmental organisation in Bucharest that coordinates the projects. Space Cadets – Breaking Club, Hueco Mundo, The Cirquit, First Orbit and The Cadets are Break4Kids projects.
Can I enter battles as a beginner?
Yes. HOW MUCH A LEU COST? has a First Take category for dancers with 0 battles.

Are there Breaking classes for adults in Bucharest?
Yes. Legacy classes are for ages 16 and up, at Beginners and Intermediate levels, in the evening, Monday to Friday.
Do you run Breaking camps during school breaks?
Yes. The Breaking the Code camp (breaking, graffiti and DJing, ages 7+, only 10 spots) ran twice in 2026: 6–9 April and 17–21 August. Details of future editions are posted on the events page.
